“เดลินิวส์ออนไลน์” ได้สอบถามผู้รู้เรื่องภัยหญิงอย่าง “หมอแอร์” พ.ต.ท.หญิง พญ.อัญชุลี ธีระวงศ์ไพศาล รองโฆษกสำนักงานตำรวจแห่งชาติ เพื่อให้ทราบถึงวิธีการป้องกันภัยจากสถานการณ์ดังกล่าว
หมอแอร์ กล่าวถึงวิธีการป้องกันจากเหตุร้ายขั้นต้นว่า ต้องเริ่มต้นจากการทำตัวเองให้ปลอดภัย ตั้งแต่การเลือกที่อยู่อาศัย ควรอยู่ในละแวกปลอดภัย ไม่อยู่ในซอยเปลี่ยว ควรมีระบบรักษาความปลอดภัย สำหรับผู้ที่อยู่หอพัก ควรเลือกหอพักที่มีระบบคีย์การ์ด มีเจ้าหน้าที่รักษาความปลอดภัยคอยตรวจตราคนเข้า-ออก หรือถ้าอาศัยอยู่บ้าน ควรติดกล้องวงจรปิด หรือสัญญาณกันขโมย ตัวบ้านควรมีรั้วรอบขอบชิด หมั่นตรวจรอบบ้านอย่าให้มีต้นไม้รกทึบ ในแต่ละวัน ก่อนจะเข้านอน ควรตรวจสอบว่าล็อคประตูหน้าต่างเรียบร้อยแล้วหรือไม่
หมอแอร์ กล่าวอีกว่า ส่วนหนึ่งที่สำคัญ แต่ผู้เสียหายส่วนใหญ่มักมองข้าม คือเรื่องไฟฟ้า ควรเปิดไฟหน้าบ้าน รั้วบ้าน หรือในบ้านทิ้งไว้สักหนึ่งดวงตลอดช่วงกลางคืน แม้จะมีไฟส่องสว่างจากเสาไฟฟ้าหน้าบ้านก็ตาม เพราะจากสถิติการก่อเหตุ คนร้ายมักเลือกก่อเหตุกับบ้านหลังที่ปิดไฟมืดทึบ นอก จากนี้เพื่อนบ้าน หรือผู้ที่อาศัยอยู่ใกล้เคียงเองก็เป็นส่วนสำคัญที่สามารถช่วยสอดส่องดูแล กันและกัน ดังนั้นควรทำความรู้จักหรือมีสัมพันธไมตรีต่อกันไว้
